I'm the same age as you and also bought an 02 Savage last year. I just got through putting all the accessories on. I really like the bike, put 2600 miles on it just last season.
Thats surprising that you had other bigger bikes, what made you get a Savage? I'm short and also it is an easy bike to maintane. I've been married for 23yrs, and almost got divorce myself a few years ago. I decided its cheaper to stay married. I had a Jardine slip-on put on, and the jets changed. What a differance.
